Charitable Dispensary

On the occassion of Mahavatar Babaji Smriti Diwas, a charitable Homoeopathic Dispensary was inaugurated by Swami Shantanandaji on July 25, 1997 within the premises of the Kendra, with an aim to provide better medical facilities to the less fortunate in this locality,. The charitable dispensary is benefitting a large number of patients arriving from local as well as distant places like Andal, Raniganj, Adra, and Purulia, to avail free homoeopathic treatment and medicines. Personalized care and treatment has been the hallmark of the dispensary since the beginning. Poor patients requiring treatment beyond homoeopathic medication are extended financial support as well.  The dispensary remains open from 10 am to 1 pm all days of the week except Sunday.

Sri Sri Daya Mata, the former President and Sanghamata of the organization, expressed her satisfaction and blessings on this occassion through a beautiful letter which is reproduced below:

Yogoda Satsanga Dhyana Kendra - Dihika,

Asansol

Dear Ones of Gurudeva,

Thank you for the report and beautiful photographs which you sent of the function in Dihika held on July 25. I have studied the snapshots and have asked Divine Mother to bless your lives. Gurudeva would be so pleased with the fine work all of you have done on the site of his first ashram and school, and I am so proud of you for what you have accomplished in his honor.

But of course the greatest accomplishment that you can honor Guruji with is to so change yourself that your life influences those whom God has placed around you. We change ourselves through daily efforts of ever-deepening meditation, as well as by practicing selflessness, kindness, compassion and love. It is then - by your example - that you will help to draw to this sacred path those souls who are sincerely seeking the Divine.

Take to heart these beautiful words of Gurudeva: "The more you feel peace in meditation, the closer you are to God. He moves nearer and nearer to you, the deeper you enter into meditation. The peace in meditation is the language and embracing comfort of God. Therefore, God is present right on the throne of peace within you. Find Him there first and you will find Him in all the noble pursuits of life, in true friends, in the beauty of nature, in good books, in good thoughts, in noble aspirations."

My prayer is that through all the years to come those who visit this holy site in Dihika may feel Gurudeva's divine presence, and thereby be touched by a truly divine soul who sought and found God and then selflessly shared God's love with his fellow men.

My blessings and divine love are with each one of you. Jai Guru!

God love you.

Daya Mata
