On the occasions of Kartik Purnima and Makar Sankranti which fall in the months of November and January each year, over ten thousand people from distant areas of West Bengal gather on the banks of Damodar river to have a holy dip. In order to assist these people during their long and arduous travel, Dihika Dhyana Kendra serves them prasad and water. A water distribution counter is installed across the main gate of the Kendra for this purpose and the local devotees also come forward to offer their service during the programme.
